My kids love themed play. We made use of the “how to make a caterpiller craft” on the back of the Blissy swing tags; using an egg carton, pipe-cleaners and a bit of creative imagination and paired it with a (few) readings(s) of Eric Carl’s The Very Hungry Caterpiller.
My 3 year old loved the counting, my 1 year old loved sticking her gorgeous little fingers in the holes and mummy loved the illustrations. My 5 year old enjoyed considering the existential nature of metamorphosis (actually she didn’t call it that!) Now, that’s what I call fun for the whole family…
